EarthNotes

Text messages from EarthNotes

How EarthNotes uses SMS, how you opt in, and how to stop.

What we send

EarthNotes is a map-based collaboration app for commercial real estate teams. We send text messages only in response to something you did, or something a teammate did in a property thread you belong to:

No marketing, no bulk messages, no third-party content. Frequency follows your activity — typically 0–10 messages a week in an active thread, and nothing beyond the codes you request otherwise.

How you opt in

1. Signing in with your phone. When you enter your phone number in the EarthNotes app or at earthnotes.ai, the screen says:

We'll text you a one-time code. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Submitting your number is your consent. We record the number, the method and the time.

2. Turning on text notifications. In Account settings you can enable texts for reminders and mentions. The toggle carries the same disclosure.

3. Being added to a property thread. An EarthNotes user can share a property with you by group text from their own phone, choosing you from their contacts and including the EarthNotes number so the conversation is saved to the property. The first message identifies the sender and EarthNotes and includes opt-out instructions. Replying is your consent to that conversation.

We never text a number we bought or imported. Every number we text was given to us by you, or by a contact who knows you. (Owner phone numbers that users look up with Find People are shown to that user in the app; EarthNotes does not text them.)

Group texts may be delivered as SMS/MMS or, between Apple devices, as iMessage, through our messaging providers. The first message from the EarthNotes number in a group includes an EarthNotes contact card you can save, so the number shows by name.

Stopping, and getting help
